so turns out white lies came to nz last week.
how exactly did i not know this!
in my depressed state i turned to youtube and found this rad short film of a bunch of their songs.
they would have been so good live.

so The Drums opened for Florence.
they were pretty great.
the highlight was definitely the guitarist doing some sort of interpretive dance with his tambourine.
closely followed by Let's Go Surfing.

fortunately for me they were referred to in Master Mouse Patrol's review of Coachella
